Mangaluru : Kum. Vaishnavi K. Pai, disciple of Smt. Radhika Shetty of Nrityaangan, Mangaluru, presented her Rangapravesha on 9th August 2026 at Don Bosco Hall, Mangaluru.

The evening commenced with a beautiful veena recital by Vaishnavi, setting a serene tone for the performance. She was accompanied by an accomplished ensemble of artistes, with dance direction, choreography and natuvanga by Smt. Radhika Shetty, vocal support by Smt. Vidyashree Radhakrishna, mridanga by Shri Balachandra Bhagawath and flute by Shri Rajagopalan V. P.


The performance commenced with a Pushpanjali and continued with Alarippu, Jathiswara, Shabdam and a Padavarna in the first half, followed by an Amba Stuti, Konkani Devaranama and Thillana in the second half. Guru Shri Ullal Mohan Kumar lit the ceremonial lamp and blessed Vaishnavi, while Guru Smt. Sharadamani Shekar and Dr. Karaikudi S. Subramanian, eminent veena artiste and Founder-Director of Brhaddhvani, graced the occasion as Chief Guests. They appreciated Vaishnavi’s commitment and dedication to the art form. Vaishnavi is the daughter of Shri K. Gopalakrishna and Smt. Suvarni G. Pai and is based in Sandy, Utah, USA.
